What is Azure Operational Insights?

Azure Operational Insight (AOI) is Software as a Service (SaaS) tool that enables IT to collect, store and search data from multiple machines for analysis purposes. Azure Operational Insights is part of Microsoft Operations Management suite that works by gathering information and logs from on premises servers and virtual Machines. The collected data is sent back to Azure Operational Insights where it is compiled and visually displayed in dashboards.
