The public preview of the Azure Data Lake Storage has been announced. It provides a rich GUI for the Azure Data Lake Storage and has also been the top customer’s priority for a really long time as well. Now the official public preview supports Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) in the Azure Storage Explorer (ASE). Upon the release of the Azure Data Lake Storage in the Azure Storage Explorer one can upload and download several files and folders at a time. It is also possible to copy and paste files across folders or Azure Data Lake Storage accounts. This software also allows performing CRUD operations for any files and folders.
Despite the traditional desktop explorer GUI that allows dragging, uploading, downloading, copying and moving ADLS folders and files, Azure Storage Explorer also provides unified developer experiences of displaying file properties, viewing folder statistics and adding quick access. Users now have the possibility to browse ADLS resources along-side existing experiences for Azure Blobs, tables, files, queues and Cosmos DB in ASE.
